The Minister of PMO-RALG Hon. Innocent Bashungwa expressed satisfaction with the enrollment and reporting of Form One students where he also said the Government has started the process of hiring teachers and adding toilets in public schools.
Minister Bashungwa made the remarks during a visit to Chamwino Secondary School in Chamwino District, Dodoma Region.

Since 2021 the Tanzanian government has not provided employment to the education sector, which has led to an increase in the number of young colleges and university graduates remaining on the streets without employment.
Teaching jobs are awaited by thousands of young people across Tanzania, where a wave of unemployment has hit many university graduates in the country.
There have been many statements made on the issue of teacher recruitment where in 2021 the minister in charge of the ministry Ummy Mwalimu said by December 2021 the government would employ 10,000 teachers which was not implemented.
Thousands of unemployed teachers have been taking these statements as politics and waiting for the day when their grace will come.
